National Velvet occurs as novel by Enid Bagnold, first published inside 1935.
National Velvet is the story of the girl, Velvet Red, world health organization tries to ride her horse to triumph in the Grand National steeplechase. A fancied horse which Velvet Light brown raised, trained & rode in the subject is known as "The Pie". Inside 1944, the novel was manufactured into the extremely successful movie star Elizabeth Taylor.
